Posted 6 August 2026 in Press Release

Australia’s leading content company for women, Are Media, has announced Tara Lamont-Djite will join the business in the newly created role of Head of Beauty, Luxury, as it accelerates growth across one of its most dynamic content categories.

The appointment forms part of an expanded, dedicated beauty division that brings together the collective power of marie claire, ELLE, Beauty Crew, Beauty Heaven and Beauty Directory.

“Beauty is one of the biggest opportunities in our business, and we are investing in the people and capabilities required to realise its full potential.” said Nicky Briger, General Manager, Luxury, Are Media.

“By connecting our beauty expertise across marie claire, ELLE and our dedicated beauty platforms, we can take a more holistic, audience-led approach to the category, creating richer content experiences for consumers and more integrated opportunities for our partners across all platforms.”

As Head of Beauty, Luxury, Lamont-Djite will lead the content strategy and creative direction for beauty across marie claire, ELLE, Beauty Crew, Beauty Heaven and Beauty Directory.

She joins Are Media following senior content roles at Myer and MECCA, where she was Head of Content Strategy, leading digital and social content in partnership with merchandising and brand marketing teams.

Prior to this, Lamont-Djite spent several years in New York as Beauty and Fashion Director at Hearst, working across ELLE, marie claire and Harper’s BAZAAR, with a focus on custom and co-branded content for luxury fashion and beauty clients.

Her US career also included editorial roles with WSJ. Magazine, T Magazine and Bazaar.com, as well as Associate Beauty Editor at Beautylish. She began her publishing career in Australia at InStyle magazine.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Are Media and working alongside the brilliant teams behind such iconic brands. There’s so much opportunity to tell new beauty stories across different platforms, and I can’t wait to get started.” said Lamont-Djite.

“Tara brings a rare combination of editorial instinct, category expertise and commercial acumen, developed across some of the world’s leading beauty and luxury brands. We are thrilled to have her leading this next chapter as we strengthen our beauty proposition, invest in new talent and prepare for the upcoming relaunches of Beauty Crew and Beauty Heaven,” added Briger.

Alongside Lamont-Djite’s appointment, two internal promotions further strengthen the expanded beauty team.

Delaney Loane, formerly Digital Managing Editor of Beauty Crew and Beauty Heaven, has been promoted to the newly created role of Beauty Editor, Luxury. Loane began her career with Are Media’s brands more than a decade ago, working across its weekly titles before moving into digital beauty roles at ELLE and, most recently, Beauty Crew and Beauty Heaven.

Briar Clark, formerly Digital Content Producer for Beauty Crew and Beauty Heaven, has been promoted to the newly created role of Beauty Writer, Luxury. Clark previously worked at Refinery29 as a fashion and beauty writer.

Lamont-Djite begins her new position on August 10. Loane and Clark’s appointments are effective immediately.
