Jane Huxley

Chief Executive Officer - Australia and New Zealand

Jane is Are Media’s Chief Executive Officer for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining Are Media, her 25+ year career spanned blue chip and scale organisations in the technology, media, telco and content space, most recently serving as Spotify’s regional director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (based in London). Previous organisations include Microsoft, Vodfone, Fairfax Media and Pandora Internet Radio. Jane is passionate about leading and developing people and teams, and the power of aligning culture and strategy, as well as her family.

Andrew Cook

Director of Sales

Prior to joining Are Media, Andrew was the General Manager of Sales for The Australian & The News Prestige Network at NewsCorp. Andrew was responsible for advertising sales across many NLM publications. Andrew was The Director of Media Sales at SBS for 6 years, prior to NewsCorp. Prior to that, Andrew spent over 11 years working at ACP Magazines where he held roles including Head of Brand Sales, Director of Men's Lifestyle and Director of Business Publications. Andrew has also worked at Fairfax (now Nine) on The SMH and Sun Herald and started his career at News Corp in various roles.

Sally Eagle

Director of Content

As the Customer Director, Sally is responsible for leading the marketing, subscription and retail teams. Sally's focus is on retail partnerships, improving direct-to-consumer channels and investing in our brands to help them thrive. Sally joined Are Media in 2010 and has held various senior roles in finance, marketing and publishing throughout the company. Prior to joining Are Media, Sally held positions at Price Waterhouse Coopers and Giorgio Armani.

Marena Paul

Finance Director

With a 20 year career in finance at Are Media, Marena, who is a Certified Practicing Accountant, has worked across all aspects of the publishing ecosystem, including distribution, marketing and production, managing teams across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Rising through the business to become Finance Director, she is responsible for ensuring continued business performance, financial planning, forecasting and analysis.

Daniel Tisi

Technology Director

As the Technology Director Daniel is responsible for leading the technology team, Daniel's focus is on defining the technology strategy & roadmap and leading the technology team with focus on innovation and business process simplification. During his 20 years at Are Media, Daniel has held various roles throughout the company in distribution, account management, supply chain, property management & technology.

Ian McHutchison

Director of Operations

Ian is responsible for Supply at Chain Are Media which encompasses Pre-media, Photography, Circulation, Print and which also includes our distribution arm Are Direct. Ian’s remit also includes Are Media’s on-going compliance to its commitment to Supply Chain of Custody standards and is our representative on the Publishing Industries Environmental Advisory Group. He has been with the company for over 30 years working mostly across the Operations areas of the business with a focus on business process and systems improvement.

Leisa Williams

People & Culture Director

As the People and Culture Director, Leisa is responsible for managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle including talent acquisition and management, learning and development, organisation and culture change and employee experience initiatives.  Leisa has proven experience in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that support business development and growth, particularly in fast paced and dynamic environments.

Veronique Maury

General Counsel

Veronique is an experienced commercial lawyer and strategic adviser of over 20 years’ experience, who has worked in a wide range of legal roles in private practice as well as in-house for several well-known media organisations. As well as managing the day-to-day legal challenges that arise in media businesses, Veronique has also been involved in major transactions for the sale and purchase of media assets and intellectual property, the resolution of disputes, and managing regulatory risk.

Carly Bowra

Director of Marketing

Carly is responsible for consumer and channel marketing across the company's digital and print brands - including subscriptions, marketplaces and the retail channels across newsagents and supermarkets. Carly has a successful track record in digital and performance marketing, retail / e-commerce and brand building. Her resume includes Head of Marketing and BIG W, Head of Strategic Marketing Projects at BWS and Head of Campaign & Creative at Woolworths Supermarkets.
