Brendon Hill

Chief Executive Officer - Australia and New Zealand

Brendon is responsible for the management and performance of Are Media Australia and New Zealand. He has been with the company for 13 years in various roles across Australia and NZ, and has worked in London and Tokyo. His management accounting background enables him to strategise and lead teams for growth with a focus on innovation and new product development. Brendon is CIMA qualified, with a double degree from Victoria University, and is a member of the Institute of Directors.

Andrew Stedwell

Chief Financial Officer

Andrew Stedwell was appointed CFO of Are Media Group in January 2012. Andrew has worked within various roles across the business prior to his promotion to CFO. Andrew is also responsible for Are Media’s distribution, retail and circulation as well as some of the company’s specialist titles.

Bernadette Rhodes

People and Culture Director

Bernadette has been in People & Culture/Human Resources for the last 14 years, working across the various areas of Human Resources. Previous experience has been within the FMCG industry as well as service industry. Bernadette, joined Are Media in July 2017 where she has partnered with all areas of the business including most recently the teams across publishing, sales and digital. Responsibility now spans across organisational development, employee relations, people & culture strategy and to lead a team made of specialists across, business partnering, payroll, recruitment, wellness & safety. Bernadette will also be working closely with the leadership team across internal communications.

Andrew Cook

Director of Sales

Prior to joining Are Media, Andrew was the General Manager of Sales for The Australian & The News Prestige Network at NewsCorp. Andrew was responsible for advertising sales across many NLM publications. Andrew was The Director of Media Sales at SBS for 6 years, prior to NewsCorp. Prior to that, Andrew spent over 11 years working at ACP Magazines where he held roles including Head of Brand Sales, Director of Men's Lifestyle and Director of Business Publications. Andrew has also worked at Fairfax (now Nine) on The SMH and Sun Herald and started his career at News Corp in various roles.

Sarah-Belle Murphy

General Manager Publishing and Digital Operations

Sarah-Belle is responsible for leading the digital teams across the consumer brands and Beauty Heaven Group. The Are Media digital group is made up of product and tech, content and video, as well as audience development and listings sales. With over 15 years’ experience in media, Sarah-Belle has led cross-functional digital teams across media and technology business and prior to her appointment in 2018 held senior roles within REA Group, Nine and APN.

Sally Eagle

General Manager - Publishing

Sally is responsible for leading the Are Books division as well as the Gourmet Traveller brand. Sally’s team is responsible for the creation of the Australian Women’s Weekly cookbooks, including the iconic Triple Tested Test Kitchen as well as the custom book division. Sally joined Are Media in 2010 and has held various senior roles in finance, marketing and publishing throughout the company. Prior to joining Are Media, Sally held positions at Price Waterhouse Coopers and Giorgio Armani.

Adrian Goss

General Counsel and General Manager, Corporate

Adrian is Are Media’s General Counsel and General Manager, Corporate. Adrian was previously legal counsel for listed Australian film and television production company, Beyond International, and, prior to that, worked for law firms in Australia and the United States. During his 20 years of practice as a lawyer, Adrian has focused on corporate and commercial matters as they affect broadcast, print and digital media businesses. He is a former National President of ACC Australia.
