Are Media, Australia’s leading omnichannel content company for women, is delighted to congratulate the members of the 2024 B&T CMO Power List, who were honoured last night at an exclusive Gourmet Traveller Chefs Dinner at Sydney’s Aalia.

Now in its second year, the B&T CMO Power List celebrates the outstanding achievements of Australia’s top marketers. What began as a list of the top 300 CMOs – as nominated by supporting partner and peak national body Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) – was then whittled down by B&T Magazine, Are Media and the AANA to just 20 top marketers.

The B&T CMO Power List evening featured an inspiring line-up of guest speakers with academic and author of The Uncaged Sky: My 804 Days In An Iranian Prison, Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert, and Australian acting phenomenon and comedian Celeste Barber.

Are Media’s creative studio designed and produced the content and assets for the list and evening, showcasing its industry-leading talents including photography, design, video, event and talent procurement.

Are Media Chief Executive Officer, Jane Huxley, said:

“Are Media is thrilled to be this year’s presenting partner for the B&T CMO Power List. Our own brands exist to connect with Australian women in a way that ignites and inspires them to understand, act, buy and advocate. This is something we can see in the work of all the best CMOs across the nation, people who influence the attitudes and behaviour of Australians for the better.

“This year we’re especially proud to celebrate the fantastic work produced by Australia’s top CMOs with B&T. Congratulations to all who made the list.”

One of B&T CMO Power List members, L’Oreal Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, Georgia Hack, said:

“I am humbled to be part of the B&T CMO Power List for 2024 and be recognised among Australia’s top marketers. Careers are not always linear and have many learnings along the way. My role at David Jones was a huge privilege. As custodian of the 185-year-old brand, I was proud of all we achieved to transform the customer experience for the digital age. Landing the CDMO role at L’Oreal has been a dream job come true. To be part of the dynamic and innovation led beauty industry is an incredible opportunity and L’Oreal is at the forefront.”

Michelle Klein, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer, IAG, said:

“I am honoured to be included in the B&T CMO Power List alongside all of these talented marketing leaders. Thank you to B&T, AANA and Are Media for creating this program which celebrates the role of creativity and customer-centricity in driving business outcomes. Coming home after 20 years abroad, it is a privilege to be part of leading NRMA Insurance and I look forward to a special year ahead as we enter our 100th year helping Australians.”

B&T Managing Director, Rosie Oakshott, said: “To make the final 20, a CMO needed to command a big budget at a big brand, have demonstrated genuine leadership through innovative thinking and strategy, and shown robust capability in navigating the complex regulatory environment Australia operates in, the ever-changing media landscape and the relentless march of consumer expectations.”

Last night’s celebration featured a bespoke, fire-fuelled menu curated by Head Chefs Paul Farag from Aalia, Gourmet Traveller’s NSW Restaurant of the Year 2023, and Ben Williamson from Agnes, Gourmet Traveller’s national Restaurant of the Year 2023.
