Are Media, Australia’s #1 women’s lifestyle network, has appointed Dean Bishop to head up its independent agencies team in the role of Agency Lead – Independent Agencies.
Reporting to Jimmy Kerr, Are Media’s NSW Head of Sales, Bishop will have a focus on deepening the publisher’s engagement with independent agencies, delivering relevant and bespoke client solutions spanning digital, print, social and experiences across Are Media’s broad portfolio of premium brands.
Kerr said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Dean to Are Media. He has an outstanding track record of collaborating with agencies and brands to deliver partnerships that drive genuine impact.”
Bishop joins Are Media from Nine where over the past decade he held a number of sales roles across its Total TV and Total Audio sales teams, most recently as Group Business Manager.
“Dean is one of the rising stars in the media sales world and we’re thrilled to bring someone of his calibre into the business at such a pivotal time,” Kerr added. “His experience and understanding of the independent agency landscape will be instrumental in accelerating our growth and driving stronger outcomes for our clients.”

Bishop’s appointment comes the same week Are Media announced it had partnered with ARN’s iHeart podcast network to expand the reach of its premium video-led podcasts and create new cross-platform opportunities for brands.
